Handcuffs

By Annie Vaithara

handcuff-man

Never have I ever restrained to smile,
World may think I am light and vile,
But I ain't here to please this realm,
As all of us would hear the death's knell,
I have never failed to open my heart out,
Maybe that's why I became a public clout,
I have always drawn my anguish and pain,
Yet, for the world I was the one without a brain,
You don't know what I have gone through,
Yet upon seeing me you shriek 'shoo',
Who are you to judge and mark me?
I don't bloom for you to see.
