All we ever wanted were superpowers,
But never did we realise the one power we did have.
We thrived to be superheroes,
To save the world,
And be the damsel in demise.
We had dreams, we wanted happiness.
We wanted a utopian reality,
But never did we try creating one.
We watched movies of love and affection,
When we never intended on loving.
We wanted to make others happy,
But never did we try making ourselves content.
We didn't realise our existence itself is our superpower,
Forgetting to use our ability to smile and make others happy,
We forgot to love and we forgot to care,
When that was all we ever needed,
To be the damsel in demise.
