Yukta Vats is a geographer, writer, editor, and a bit of an artist. Passionate about everything she takes on, she is a spirited soul who loves exploring the wonders of the world, and lives by the mantra ‘be kind, unwind’. Driving her creative compass and shaping her worldview, nature and human nature inspire her endlessly, manifesting in what she fondly calls ‘geography in her poetry and poetry in her geography’.
On the professional front, she is currently working as an Assistant Commissioning Editor in the Reference Division at Hachette India. Her awesome family and friends, who anchor and encourage her, and the magic of books, are her lifelong loves, constants she holds close – in her heart, soul, and shelf.
Yukta was chosen from among thousands of applicants to be part of the World Poetry Project 2025. Her poems were subsequently published in Across Latitude & Language, a global anthology showcasing the works of all participants of WPP 2025.
