Sukriti Chopra – Delhi Poetry Slam

Sukriti Chopra

Sukriti Chopra is a poet and writer who draws her creative inspiration from her nomadic living of the past decade. Born and raised in Delhi, India, Sukriti is a professional editor and writing coach. Her essays and poetry have been published in several magazines, including Elephant Journal. Sukriti’s poetry has been published in two books: “Home: Poems about Family” (2025, Canada) and “The Hour of the Sun” (2024, India). She continues to work toward her desire to be the Poet Laureate of the place she finally decides to make home.

Sukriti dedicates a part of her workday to animal rights advocacy work, advocating for legislative change for better human-wildlife co-existence. She strives for a low-impact and minimalistic life. An ideal day for Sukriti includes a forest walk with dogs or a solo stroll by the ocean.

Sukriti was chosen from among thousands of applicants to be part of the World Poetry Project 2025. Her poems were subsequently published in Across Latitude & Language, a global anthology showcasing the works of all participants of WPP 2025.
