Narayani Goenka is an aspiring poet, hailing from Patna, Bihar. She has been writing poetry since 2014. She started writing poetry to escape the monotony from studying for long hours in school. Her father discovered her talent after she wrote a poem for him and he motivated her to keep writing. She was later inspired by her college mates to write poetry in different styles and on difficult topics such as women empowerment and mental health. However, she barely wrote poetry during her college days and it was during lockdown, when she started reading poetry on Instagram.
She realized poetry is nothing but putting down honest opinions on a subject in a creative way. The only ingredient one needs in the process is to feel passionately about the subject. A decade into writing poetry yet she has never published her work before. So, she is deeply honoured to share a platform with poets from around the globe for her first ever experience as a published poet.
Her mantra for writing good poetry is to read a lot of poetry, write a lot of bad poetry and keep writing bad poetry until the ending is good enough to destroy the reader.
