My name is Mahendra Pal Arya, and my hometown, Ranikhet, has nurtured a profound connection with nature within me. I am an Assistant Professor (Department of English) at Govt. P.G. College in Gairsain, Chamoli, and also pursuing PhD on the topic of Ecofeminism. My journey into poetry was serendipitous; it emerged unexpectedly and has since become a means to explore and articulate my identity.
Influenced by the works of Romantic and Metaphysical poets, I strive to infuse my poetry with deep human emotions and contemporary reflections. Poetry is a vehicle for self-discovery, guiding individuals toward a more authentic version of themselves. In the words of Wordsworth, it embodies the "spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings”. My pursuit of poetry aims to give voice to the unspoken, even if they speak silently, and shed light on the significant aspects of our human experience. By sharing my work, I hope to inspire others to reflect on their own narratives and to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the natural world that surrounds us.
