Maahi Kaur Chohan – Delhi Poetry Slam

Maahi Kaur Chohan

Maahi Kaur Chohan is a sixteen year old poet who brings unrequited love, grief, and vivid daydreams to life in her writing. Her debut collection is a heartfelt exploration of emotions. Every piece is clear evidence of her ability to package personal experiences and imagination in such a way that the stories she creates are not only believable but also touching.

Maahi is inspired by the beauty of the inner world. For her, poetry is a way to give voice to the emotions and dreams she carries within her. Her words become a connection between the intensity of feelings and the delicate art of storytelling. Between love, longing and self-discovery.

When she is not writing, Maahi finds inspiration in music and in making stories in her head, she often escapes into her daydreams. To her, poetry is not just words on  a page, it is a way of life, a way of feeling and a way of connecting with  other people.

She was chosen from among thousands of applicants to be part of the World Poetry Project 2025. Her poems were subsequently published in Across Latitude & Language, a global anthology showcasing the works of all participants of WPP 2025.
