Lehzareen Rana is a 13-year-old aspiring poet from India and England who uses poetry as a means of self-expression. In addition to writing poetry, Lehzareen loves the adrenaline rush of showjumping and sprinting.
She often draws inspiration from her multicultural background and the world around her, weaving emotions and vivid imagery into her verses. Beyond her athletic pursuits, Lehzareen enjoys reading literature from diverse authors and experimenting with different poetic forms.
With a passion for storytelling and a desire to connect with others through her art, she hopes to inspire young voices to explore their creativity.
Lehzareen was chosen from among thousands of applicants to be part of the World Poetry Project 2025. Her poems were subsequently published in Across Latitude & Language, a global anthology showcasing the works of all participants of WPP 2025.
