Latika Mehra is a poet in the making. She is an introvert. Solitude revitalizes and recharges her. Words are her metiér. She has had the privilege to both study and teach English Literature & Language.
Passion and a yen for poetry is raison d’etre for being and for living. Music, art and cinema are her interests. JL Borges, Pablo Neruda, R S Dinkar, Mahadevi Verma, S. Pant, Shakespeare, J. Keats, Seamus Heney, Eliot, Yeats, Maya Angelou, Mirza Ghalib, Mir T. Mir, Faiz , Faraz and Vikram Seth are some of her inspirations to create the written word.
She was chosen from among thousands of applicants to be part of the World Poetry Project 2025. Her poems were subsequently published in Across Latitude & Language, a global anthology showcasing the works of all participants of WPP 2025.
