Khushi Jain – Delhi Poetry Slam

Khushi Jain

Khushi Jain is a second-year undergraduate student at Ashoka University, pursuing a double major in English and Creative Writing. Drawn to the whimsical and imaginative worlds of Roald Dahl, her early love for storytelling has influenced her writing style, which often blends introspection with a playful, dramatic flair.

Having recently discovered her passion for poetry, Khushi views it as a way to process emotions and make sense of the world. Her debut collection, Poetry of a Broken Girl, is a set of 21 poems exploring heartbreak, healing, and self-reflection.

Khushi’s artistic flair goes beyond writing and cinema. She’s also a digital artist and designer and had her digital art piece Slipping Away recently published in the Birmingham Art Journal (vol. 19, 2024).  Her creative works reflect her effort to capture the beauty in the small, ordinary moments and celebrate the complexities of being human. Looking ahead, she hopes to keep telling stories that resonate with and inspire others.

She was chosen from among thousands of applicants to be part of the World Poetry Project 2025. Her poems were subsequently published in Across Latitude & Language, a global anthology showcasing the works of all participants of WPP 2025.
