Dr. Ujjwala Kakarla is an award-winning writer, researcher, holistic trainer and educationist from Hyderabad. She holds her doctorate in Comparative Literature. She has lectured, and taught intensive courses in various technical institutions, and Universities. She has been the resource person in imparting holistic education for renowned Companies, Schools and Colleges.
She has to her credit 14 published books and more than fifty research papers, and innumerable articles and creative pieces published in Literary Journals and Holistic Magazines Like Bhavan’s Journal, Infini Thoughts, The Madras Courier (Digital Newspaper), Journal of Literature and Aesthetics, Invocation (Savitri Bhavan, Auroville) Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Muse India, The Tuck Magazine (social conscious) UK, The Punch Magazine, Indian Literature and Arts Magazine, Daath Voyage, Gnosis, Scopus, SCI, UGC Indexed Scientific Journals. As an ardent writer and passionate educator, she has been honoured with 50 Aspiring Authors and Researchers Award by Fox Story News Magazine; Nation Choice Award by Glantor X, News Platform (Media), 21 Century Emily Dickinson Award by Book Leaf Publishing, National Literature Award by Indian Literature and Arts Society, Teacher Innovation Award by Sri Aurobindo Society for sustainable efforts towards promoting joyful and Experiential Teaching.
She was chosen from among thousands of applicants to be part of the World Poetry Project 2025. Her poems were subsequently published in Across Latitude & Language, a global anthology showcasing the works of all participants of WPP 2025.
