Akshita Sharma is a doctor from New Delhi, India.
She has always loved to write, and poetry has found a way to sweep her off her feet. Poetry has given her a yearning to look for magic in every corner of the world. She observes, keenly, with glittering eyes, every little nuance of the very being of zest and spirit, and tries her best to articulate it in words.
She has always tried to stay honest to her art, and has tried to work on honing her skills.
Whilst trying to find a balance between the irresistible art of poetry and life, she hopes to have done justice to her art at every stage of life, and hopes to have been kind to all the beautiful creations, that have, so lovingly offered themselves as muses.
She was chosen from among thousands of applicants to be part of the World Poetry Project 2025. Her poems were subsequently published in Across Latitude & Language, a global anthology showcasing the works of all participants of WPP 2025.
