Wrestling Wisdom in a Grown Soul

By Vidhi Ghandhi

Life was easier when I was careless,
No weight to bear no thoughts to process.
Cackling on over a silly mess,
Moving along in life without any debts.

Something serious was peeping as a disguise,
Later recognizing it was maturity at it highs.
Unknowingly I grew yet stayed in my premise,
Unaware that it had gotten into me with every menace.

The game of thoughts stayed in my mind as tenants,
Fighting what time had placed at my front.
Wrestling wisdom with every suppressed grunt,
Resisting the lessons which left me stunned.

And now I stand beyond the war ground,
Where chaotic voices in my head turned into a soothing sound.
What once confused me breaks my every bound,
Embracing what is meant to be is always found.
Glancing back at past battles where i almost drowned,
Making peace in my mind with changes that comes around.
