Worth it?

By Jiya Gupta

Life's like the most twisted game.
So risky, that no one makes it out alive.
You'll justify a thousand scars,
Just because you love the person holding the knife.

We ignore the one's who adore us,
Adore the one's who ignore us,
Love the one's that hurt us,
And hurt the one's that love us.

That's not how it's supposed to be, is it?
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years,
Most of them fail to understand,
So much of what we learn about love,
Is taught by people that never really loved us.

Destiny's not always about what we want.
Some times it's about what we need,
Everything that feels suffocating,
Teaches us how to breathe.

Forgive others and forgive yourself.
Holding onto grudges, only weighs you down.
Sometimes you think you wanna disappear,
But all that you really want, is to be found.

The people you tell your pain to,
Hurt you. Who would've thought?
I mean- The sunset's gone.
But at least it was WORTH TO WATCH.
