Why so many whys in this modern e-age, why humanity slackens,
Life so uncertain —
Why violence, rape and
No tender feelings? Why intolerance, hatred,
And so many killings?
Why is there so much terror and tension? Why no time for rest, relaxation?
Why are there robotic emotions? Why not call it cultural invasion?
Why such fondness for the virtual world, and less prospect for real worth?
Why does no guilty conscience prick the heart, and no voice within find our faults?
Why rampant time for
Networking and messaging? Why no time for real friends
And kinships to share our feelings?
Alas! We have no answers for all these whys,
While humans in their vicious circle revolve,
And mystic nature silently plays its solemn part.
But God is benevolent
For the various values
One can acquire!
