Who am I to you, dear Creator?
Who am I to you dear King?
That you are mindful of me
And my insignificant plea
With each new day you spend with me
Each new day, new mercies I see
"Not by your works, but by my strength", you say
And gently leadeth me on my way
You listen to me, and whisper to me
You counsel me and humble me
Grumble I do, mean things I may say
Yet again, "I am with you", you say
The light to my feet and lamp to my path
I journeyed along without a scathe
I am not perfect; not in spirit or mind
Yet search and search and, me thee find!!
I am polished like silver in the heat of the fire
Yet knowest thee, my inner most desire
That you are mindful of me
And my insignificant plea
Who am I to you, dear Creator?
Who am I to you, dear King?
