The beauty of the place
Heaven on earth!
As if the God’s themselves reside
Peace, calm, serenity all in one place.
Specially created by the hands of God.
To experience the life of the other world.
Amidst this bountiful nature
Dotted humans found in abundance.
Enchanted by its beauty
Both young and old, men and women
Pictures taken as they strike a pose
Oh! The laughter, the joy unfolds
All shared but one feeling of bliss
A perfect union of the permanent and the temporal!
Who dare disturb this tranquil mood
That united humans to its roots.
The images that flashed makes the onlooker yearn
To go there someday to share their joy.
But alas!
As if a devil incarnate showed its face.
The sounds of gun shots triumphed the place.
Shrieks and cries, fear-stricken faces
Transformed this Jannat into a pandemonium.
Ones dear life was at risk
Men the targets in this race.
A father, a son, a brother, a husband, an uncle lost
To a place far off with no return.
A loss definite and irreparable.
It was no attack by an animal!
It was no demon!
It was but tragically a human in a devil’s clothing
Yes! It had to be a devil!
Who else could it have been?
We are born in the image of God
We are born equal
We are born with no distinction no discrimination.
We are but born with but only one knowledge
The knowledge of mortality:
The knowledge of our impending death.
What counts is the journey between birth and death.
Do we fear no more?
