Wedding got over, photography
Not done yet. Dedicated young geniuses with mirrors and lens made me look like a princess.
Everyone had their lunch
Some were still having, I could
Hear some noises. "smile sister",
I smiled. Please walk across.
I walked . please smile , I smiled.
Not realizing what I was doing, I heard the instructions, followed.
We came down nobody was there.
"Tired maybe," he said.
I thought they left.
"Shall we get in the van?"
I heard 'get in the van'.
I heard instructions. But somewhere between instructions
My eyes searched for my family.
"May they left", someone said.
I couldn't believe my ears.
Traveller's engine started,
I looked around.
New people, new faces.
Some laughing and talking,
I was growing anxious.
Then the van stopped.
I looked out the window of the van
To see the most beautiful sight worried faces, tensed minds,
Of my aunts and uncles,
Of my cousins and neighbours,
Then I saw them, my family,
Struggling to understand -
Why I left without informing.
I was so relieved, so happy
I smiled, because I saw myself.
They were just waiting on the other side.
Unknown to the fact that I was this side.
They came running behind the van
And that was enough.
“Unknown to the fact that I was this side.
They came running behind the van
And that was enough.”
