Vagabond

By Adyasha Anapurba Biswal

I gaze at the endless sky,
A star traveling eons, finally says Hi,
If the rays could tell tales,
Unending stories of earths in the making,
And breaking apart,
How life always thrived and survived,
It never stopped.

Existence so ephemeral,
we are vagabonds in the universe
Someone relishes the sight from far,
How relentlessly hungry, we anxiously flutter

Everything comes to a full circle,
If life is random, underneath lies a balance
New start, another end,
All your plea won’t make a difference

We continue to move on,
leaving footsteps behind.
Rocks turn to dust,
Soon there will be nothing to find.
