Unheard song of a Grateful heart

By Lil JJ

The pillar that stood strong, built from their bones,
A foundation of love, where courage has grown.
The roof that shields,
Are the clothes they never wore.

Their walls are the care that shields us from harm-
A fortress of love, a shelter, a charm.
The tears that flow, like rain in summer,
Are the laughter we carry, easing their labour.

The sweat from their brows, like rivers they spill,
Feeds our hearts, and nourishes our will.
The shame they endure, the burden they bear,
Are the wisdom and knowledge we idolize and realize.

In their kneeling, in their tireless fight,
We find our answers, our path, our light.
They’ve given so much, and yet ask for no gain..
In their sacrifice, our futures remain.

In their quiet sacrifice, we stand tall,
Not knowing the price, not knowing it all.
We are the echoes of their silent screams,
The living proof of their broken dreams.

This is the tribute, the gift I give,
For all they’ve done, for the life they live—
To the hands that have lifted, the hearts that have bled.

And when the stars align in the next life,
I would still wish to be your daughter,
Carrying the lost dreams in my little han-
Only to return what was once theirs,
Untouched by the chains of sacrifice.
