Truth - Story of my search

By Richa G Mahajan

Happiness
Oh happiness, where have you been?
I searched for you for years, yet you never came to me.
Suddenly, happiness laughed and said,
Oh silly, I've been right here, so close to you!
I asked with a frown, where?
She smiled and said, There In your perspective!

Sorrow
Hearing the thought that happiness shared
Sorrow approached me, a little scared.
And whispered, If happiness thrives, must I fade?
I laughed and said, Oh, don't be swayed!
Can't you see?
You both belong, In my heart, where you make me strong.
Through every rise, through every fall,
I walk with you and embrace it all.!

Acceptance
Hearing those kind words so true,
Hugging me, Sorrow wept the whole night through.
From sorrow within, his child, Anger, arose and asked, You make everyone cry, now look at you!
Sorrow replied, Acceptance is all I seek.
Now, my child, let's end this fight And together merge with happiness by embracing a smile!

Peace
All merged as one, a flame so bright, Peace appeared before me, pure and white.
It spoke with grace, My child, you see, At last, you've finally found me.
Yet within you, there lies a space, A hollow deep you cannot erase.
I bowed my head and softly sighed, Truth is the light I've sought, my guide.
From dusk to dawn, through night and day.
I've searched for Truth along my way for the past 27 years.
Though Peace has come, my heart still yearns,
For wisdom's flame that forever burns.

Ego & I
Ego appeared with a smirking grin, Said, Foolish girl, don't you see? You all exist because of me, You should seek none only me!
I laughed aloud, my voice was free, That's why you stand alone, said I. Ego frowned, but silently, As truth reflected in its eye.
Come, dear Ego, walk with me, Be my companion on this quest. Not just pride, but truth we'll see, And put our doubts to rest.

Fate & I
Ego smiled and bowed so low, Fate stood watching, let it flow.
Tested hard, through trials deep, Weird things happened, stole my sleep.
Confused, wounded, broken deep, Frustration stole my will to keep.
Hospitalized, near defeat, Death was knocking, slow and sweet.
Fate then whispered, soft yet set, Trust the process, not done yet.
Though still broken, looking at my mother, I just grinned and softly uttered Challenge accepted! Let's begin.

Clarity
Days passed, I worked again,
This time with double the strength to gain.
Nature spoke in signs so true,
Sometimes clear, sometimes askew.
Until one day, a messenger came,
Offering wisdom, calling my name.
Drinking to which, all seemed bright,
Darkness faded into light.
That day, clarity bestowed,
A path revealed, the truth I owed.

Freedom
Seeing this, freedom drew near,
Whispering, Truth is what you seek, dear?
With eager eyes, I said, Yes!
Freedom smiled, Then so it shall manifest.
A mirror rose before my sight,
Yet only I stood in its light.
Where is truth? I asked once more,
Freedom smiled, Look at the core.
Ahaa! it spoke with wisdom deep,
Thou thy art yours truth to keep!

Truth & Life
Standing still, in awe and grace,
I saw no I in time or space.
In a fleeting breath, so light,
I became the moment bright.
I smiled and smiled, pure and free,
Like a child in endless glee.
And as the night embraced my sight,
Life embraced me twice that night.
