A stupendous reunion uncovered some myths.
The fragile, lanky classmate,
Went on to become a weightlifter.
The backbencher, frequently penalized for chaos,
Is a well-known neurologist.
The topper of the batch is a homemaker.
Whilst the boy standing outdoors is an Army officer.
I beg to differ that “Empty vessels make Noise”,
As the babbler of our batch is an ace lecturer.
A piece of paper cannot determine your future.
The reunion educated me on how one evolves.
Time and life made me believe.
“A book can nowise be judged by its cover”.
Gratitude to the Universe and many thanks to Wingword poetry team for this opportunity . Happy to see my poem featured on the page. It is a great gesture of motivation to budding poets.
