True friends are a comfort for tears,
They calm our fears,
Accompanying us on life's roller coaster rides—
And high as well as low tides.
They walk in when others go,
They comfort us when feeling low.
True friends are like flowers on an arduous path,
They hold our hand and help in many ways.
For me, friendship is a patchwork quilt,
On which foundations of joy are built.
Hold on to friends,
Retain them through life's hairpin bends.
They make life rich,
And fill its patches with a simple stitch.
Cherish your friends and friendships—
True friendships are always for keeps.
