A firefly resides
In the tiny atoms of a burnt soul
It shines, flickers, goes dark
But remains alive..
Never to yield
Never to despair
In nature's harsh storms.
Yes, its wings tremble
Heartbeats quaver
Heartbeats which a least priority to the world
But wholesome for the soul.
I coax you,
Little firefly,
To keep your fire burning
In a wee flicker or a roaring flame.
Keep it burning, my friend.
For this soul
Is old school.....
Of the eternal aged fire
Of the Big Bang
Of the universe.
I coax you
Lure you to board the greatest flight....
And centuries would bow
