Do you hate me or
Do you hold a grudge?
What have I done?
Was giving you shade
And letting birds rest a crime?
Or do you hate my presence so much
It drives you out of your mind?
You mercilessly hack
And chop my kind,
Oh! I am suffocating and yet
You still don't mind,
If the last of me dies
You wouldn't survive
You cannot replace my beauty nor my use
Yet you still try to end me you insolent fool
What has happened to you?
You only like the digital view
I have got no affection
Yet I am still dying for you.
I get it you are growing too,
But don't you have a little sympathy?
For the one who helped you
I am not here for appreciation
Just for some mercy,
If you have left some
Please show some for me.
Fantastic Ras!!!
Your poem gave jitters all over my body. I could literally hear voice in my ear while i read your poem. So powereful are your words, though simple, yet impactful!
