In the morning as I wake up,
Thrown away from the world of dreams,
Aghast and shaken, am I as I
Don't know what this day will bring.
Anger or sorrow, judgement on failures,
Or joy and fulfillment, love's allure.
I stand alone, shut out from the world,
Shall I reflect, or let the day unfurl.
Questions with no answers, answers to questions unknown;
They fill my head and the day has flown.
Silence from within me speaks to my soul,
What is my way, where lies my goal?
Should I run away, away from these worldly ties?
Anguish of sight or bliss of being blind?
Everyday a new hope and I open my eyes,
To see the world with an open mind.
