Sitting on my window, seeing the raindrops fall,
The strong winds hit my face-an unknown happiness calls.
The lush green lawns below suddenly spring up with life,
And the white clouds gently roll down the mountains so high.
Kids are playing in the rain, not giving a damn.
Couples find an excuse to fit into one umbrella, hand in hand.
Paper boats maneuver all around,
With kids running after them, jumping with excitement unbound.
Birds take shelter, enjoying the breeze.
Dogs take a happy nap-oh, such a peaceful sleep!
Squirrels run back happily to their tree holes.
People wade through waters, returning to their homes.
And as I sit peacefully on my window, sipping a coffee and seeing this scene unfold,
I realize that, at times, you need to pause and understand-
Life doesn’t always have to be on the roll.
