I harbor this constant thought:
What shape will my life take ahead?
Will it overflow with happiness?
Or will it mend my soul whole?
Will it usher peace?
Or remain a distant dream?
Ultimately —
The question I fall back on is:
What if it mirrors my present?
What if it doesn’t change at all?
Everyone talks about acceptance,
And seeks eternal peace,
But what if peace eludes me,
And suffering continues its hold?
Life lacks a guarantee card,
With no assurance whatsoever.
