The Unknown

By K.M. Sharva Lakshana

The rustling sounds of the leaves keep echoing through the empty woods.
The wind gently sways beneath the rustic branches and blows their dry, brittle leaves.
The scene is set at twilight,
Followed by the serene dusk.
The foliage glimmers like lustrous alloys,
Forcing the owl’s eyes to shut.
The forest is filled with an elemental ardour of the night soil.
The inhabitants rush to their shelters to rest from their sedulous work.
They seek for dolce far niente.
Now the woods transform into a deep dark silhouette which is ready for slumber.
The shadows prevail over the arboretum like a cozy blanket.
In spite of the pitch darkness, the minuscule fireflies light up the night sky with their golden
shimmer.
Only the crickets' chirp would resonate throughout the night.
The breeze follows the footsteps of the gale,
The crystalline shine of light from the moon escorts the dark with poise and grace.
The locus can't be explained with mere words.
Harmony and bliss are scattered across the panorama as if they were ubiquitous.
A step taken into this enchantment is a step taken into the felicity.
The calm atmosphere heals any wounds and rejuvenates the person.
The copious offers of Mother Nature are a wonderful gift for mankind.
Bucolic, ethereal and pristine —
Oh, what more can we expect!
