My Heart pains, my soul unrest,
As I reflect on the moment,
Of how these two beautiful souls,
Had lost their lives in the hands of their father.
Deceived by the one they loved so much,
How could he be so selfish?
To Avenge his wife, he took their lives.
That Evening they must have eagerly awaited,
For papa to come and take them out.
When he appeared and said let’s go!
Great Joy and excitement fill their hearts,
They run like mad and shower him
With hugs and kisses like never before.
For the one they loved and trusted has come.
Unaware of their father’s evil plan,
They hold his hands so tight, never to let go
As they wait for the approval of their mother,
As she looked at the excitement in their eyes
She could not resist her loving jewels,
Reluctantly she said “Yes”
Unknowing of their impending doom.
As he took them to the path of death,
Quietly they walked, no questions asked,
For they trusted him with their lives.
As he took the knife out of his pocket,
His daughter must have asked him,
Papa, what will you do with the knife?
Looking in the eyes of the one she trusted
Fear creeps in her, tears flow out of her eyes.
He did not answer,
As his hands are faster than his words
He killed her, as his son still holding his father
With no regrets, as the evil besieged him,
Then turned to his helpless 2-year-old son
And killed him too.
An evil heart of a traitor so trusted by them.
Oh! Traitor of the Innocents
The innocent souls are safe in the arms of God
But Where will your soul be?
What answer will you give on judgement day?
Will there be forgiveness?
A crime so unthinkable is to everyone
Oh! Mighty God save our Nation.
