By Kushal Tamang
The sea waves, in her constant
attempt to prove her love to the coast.
Her love never failed to reach him
nor could anything pull him far from her.
Still, he denied her love,
and the waves crawled back into the sea.
The coast never reached out,
never offered his love in return.
And the sea never understood
that the coast had his reason
to push her away.
He feared drowning in love
feared losing his own existence
to the tides of her devotion.
So the waves recede, again and again,
while the sea keeps waiting.
But the story never changes.
The sand and the waves
they remain the closest.
The sea and the coast
they could never truly meet.
