One day I found a key lying around
Mysteriously, it lay on the ground
Emitting an eerie sound.
As I peered at it, I felt it was me whom it had found.
As if lost in a trance,
I held it up in my hand.
Emotions blazed through me, defying my mind
I felt as if a veil was lifted from my sight.
Always tactical, always practical
I realized my lack of madness
Was the cause of my sadness.
Curiously, I asked the key
What chain do you free?
"I open no locks," the key replied.
I am a monster full of spite,
For I am PAIN hiding in plain sight.
Suddenly, blank went my mind
"Then why do I feel so light with you by my side?"
I asked crying.
"Because," the key replied,
"Instead of hating me,
You embraced me.
And I unlocked your heart
So light may enter all its dark parts.
