The Happy Song

By Plabita Bhaskar

Fill your life with happy tears
And joys from tiny things
A ring of light above thy head,
Glows as you flap your wings.

With the morning star,
Let your lids untwine
Let your soul soak the sunshine.
May a tiny twinkle bejewel thy eyes
May you perch your dreams cloud nine.

Smell the dust after a rain
Make paper boats to sail.
Hug the trees and share freebies.
Sing chorus, work dovetail.

Let love and light and happiness
Like a genteel torrent flow.
Let peace and wisdom
Curb the doom
May your soul shine and glow.
