The Fall

Leandra Thomas

I see the colors fading from my vision,

 like a sharp incision,

 Drowning myself in darkness,
 surrounded by unknown solitude
 Lost myself among the crowds
Cascading waves of hair covering my face
Making me realize the soul I could never praise
Covered in wounds all in and out
Bandaged all over and yet not enough .
 I embraced the fall,
as I immersed myself into the depths of the dead sea
The gothic terror brought me the nirvana I never deserved
Thinking back I was nothing but a piece of unnoticed dirt.
 As the depths grew
I found myself in tranquility which could never be achieved in the outside world,
 Maybe this was the end-
rather a transition to another prejudiced world.
