The Atomic Attack

By Ruchi Agarwal

Millions dead at once,
and thousands crippled.
Destruction and devastation.
A complete surprise explosion.
" A fire storm."
Causing burn into ashes ,
Into fumes it crashes.
Deaf and blind  for decades.
They were left, to sublate.

The dead were died,
The survivors survived.
The terror  never heard or seen,
Incredible history had been.
The city ceased to exist.
The ones stepping over the corpses,
never had been out of grief.
The hellish version of afterlife,
in brief.

The burnt black faces still haunts.
When the weeping and sobbing of many,
are heard beyond.
On the sea shore,
they are running in crowd,
screaming aloud,
to drowm in water.
From  dead to die,
from weep to cry.
And  then all at once ,
they disappear at a glance.

Amidst , death and destruction,
combination of luck and predestination,
encircled few to witness,
the horrified poisonous distress.

Near to a centennial,
The high fumes  of the burial,
the natural side effects,
causing defect.
Yes, even after  seven decade
The frightful sight , didn't cease to fade.
