Technology-Cookie's Rewards

By Dr Meghanath Yenni

Meet Cookie, a quiet presence in our digital lives who tracks your moves each time you browse and click “Accept.” Through three poems—Rewards, Remarks, and Regrets—Cookie shares how technology touches us: easing our days, shaping our habits, and sometimes testing our boundaries. This trilogy gently unpacks our digital world's sweet, strange, and sobering sides.

They call me Cookie, a tiny byte,
I peek and track, day and night.
Don’t fear me yet—I bear no grudge,
I help your apps and gadgets nudge.

I see your likes, check your carts,
The shoes you sought? The ones you got.
Your morning brew, your evening ‘stream’—
I stitch it all into your dream.

I whisper softly, “Try this deal,”
I push gently, “Check this out”.
When grandma coughs at 2 a.m.,
A smartwatch beep could rescue them.

I power dreams through virtual space,
Help blind folks read with grace.
From farmers tracking rain to sow,
To surgeons using robotic flow.

I learn your steps, note your style,
Stay with you each digital mile.
I curate life to ease your load,
A helper on your digital road.

I may trail behind your tap,
But it’s to lay a welcome map.
For every byte I gently take,
A better world I try to make.

I shape your world with quiet grace,
A steady hand in cyberspace.
Not just some code or dusty records—
I bring you life through Cookie’s rewards.
