Take A Chance

I'm riding the waves of the ocean, 
Hold my balance and move with caution;
See the land miles away from I,
Gear up and head on towards the storm's eye.

I look behind and my haven looks distant,
No point turning back this instant;
Cause I know, though safe it won't last,
Came this far, can't hold on to the past.

Firm in belief that I am something more,
This feeling hits me to the core;
Looking at the stars, I pray for a sign,
Leading me to make a mark that's mine.

Second guessing myself at every wave,
Then reassure its not the time to cave;
Put up a brave face and I take it in stride,
While spirit says "I'm in for the best ride! ".
