Still Yours

By Aasmeet Kaur

You came like morning—soft and slow,
A touch of warmth in the world’s first glow.
And though your charm was born of old,
It whispered stories yet untold.

You moved like wind—so wild, so free,
While I stood still, like a rooted tree.
You faded into skies so wide,
But I remained, where dreams reside.

The silence speaks where laughter lay,
Your name still haunts my nights and day.
The walls we built now echo bare,
With only memories in the air.

Don’t just peek through yesterday’s door—
Return, my love, be mine once more.
For though you’re gone in time and space,
My heart still beats in your embrace.

Forever waiting...
