Still, I Stand – Delhi Poetry Slam

Still, I Stand

By Muskan Rai

Still, I Stand
Even when I feel broken inside,
I keep smiling and hold my head high.
I don’t let the world see my pain,
Or the quiet battles I fight every day again.
Sometimes, I really wish someone was there,
To give me comfort, to show they care.
But I stay strong and act like I’m fine,
Even when the weight is clearly mine.
People only notice the beauty and glow,
Not the hard journey they’ll never know.
They admire the diamond’s final shine,
Not the pressure and pain behind the design.
So I keep going, even when it’s tough,
Not because life is easy or soft—
But because I choose not to give up.
