Starry Night

By Vaishnavi Rana

Engulfing him is the aura of wisdom,
Instilled in him slowly as he saw the rise and fall of thousands of kingdoms.
Adorning it are millions of jewels,
Each having a different story to tell.

Adding to its mystical beauty,
Resides in it the moon in all its glory.
His sorrow is accompanied by the rain,
Storm highlights its anger and strain.

Its fierceness follows thunder,
Accompanied by a blow of wind that makes everyone shudder.
His solace is depicted by the silence,
Tuned with his content and magnificence.

It looks over us, glistening with brilliance,
Bear with the repetitions, but isn’t he a total magnificence?
