Heaven seems so far away.
Where the monotonous sea meets bay,
I’ll meet you one day.
When the moon reflects stolen rays.
I tune my guitar to play,
The songs that you taught me last may.
On the cold, hard ground I lay,
Wondering how my life turned fifty shades of gray.
I yearn to hear your sweet voice again.
I long to feel all your joy and pain.
I wish to see you smile again.
I want you by my side when it rains.
Waiting for seven years now.
Pretending to be kings and queens, curtsies and bows.
Me and you on the boat we’d row.
But now it’s sunken deep down bellow.
The misery in my soul, only time will know.
Only I will know my eternal woe.
The wolf blows my sad house in one blow.
Now I’m left alone with my shadow.
I yearn to hear your sweet voice again.
I long to feel all your joy and pain.
I wish to see you smile again.
I want you by my side when it rains.
