Caught a dove
Blinded its sight
Embraced it in my arms
'Perfected' its wings
By strangling them tight
"A false sense of security", whispered the dove
Ridiculous, I imagined, how could such a dumb creature have an idea about this life
"Words don't affect", I replied
And all the voices supported, shouting "I am right"
At last I decided to let it go
Into the mysterious yet terrifying dark sky
Believing and hoping I would see a phenomenal flight
Suddenly it fell down, not able to reach even a foot up in the air on this shameful night
Struggling to survive
And soon enough, giving up
Losing the fight
I blame the dove again and again
For not learning how to fly
Even though, now the voices condemn my actions, shouting "what you did was not at all right".
