Scars That Never Healed

By Shivani S

I'm drowning in my own blood,
fixing scars that were never my mistake...
Trying to figure it all out on my own,
healing my wounds without needing anyone.

What hurts the most is that nobody noticed—
that I was bleeding,
that I was hurt,
that I was broken to the point of no return.

That's when I realised
I'm so good at pretending
that I not only fooled others
but also myself into thinking I'm happy—
even when I'm not,
even when I'm dead on the inside...
