Gather 'round, dear listeners, and heed this tale profound,
Of a devil bold and daring-against oppression, he was bound.
He waged a war relentless, till the dawn's first light,
His people, they revered him, his courage shining bright.
But alas, as time unfurled, his heart did start to stray-
Greed and power's seduction led his noble path away.
His throne ascended, now a god in mortal guise,
Yet his soul became corrupted by ambition’s dark disguise.
Through foreign lands his conquest spread; no mercy did he show.
Innocents fell 'neath his wrath, victims of his ruthless blow.
At the height of his avarice, God descended to the earth-
A battle fierce, a clash of titans-of virtue and of dearth.
The once-kind man transformed into a devil of the night,
His noble cause now tainted by the shadows of his might.
A cautionary tale, this saga grim-a lesson to be learned:
Unchecked power’s grip can cause the noblest hearts to burn.
So heed this warning, travellers, as you journey through your days-
Beware the lure of power, its treacherous, dark ways.
For even heroes, in their might, can succumb to darkness' thrall,
And from their noble purpose… can rise a devil’s call.
