Sacred Endurance

Dr.  Latha Biju

When all the voices fall asleep;
 And stars hide behind the dark clouds,
 Heart begins its silent roam,
 Through the fields of hurts that yesterdays gifted,
 An echo of some dear ones call;
 A memory laced with unshed tears,
 A lost hope where no more laughter remains,
 Only glances of shadows and darkness,.
 But the pain now raged into insensitivity,
 Where not a single drop of tears flow,
 Which once were always overflowing in vain,
 Now became a barren desert,
 Where no one sows a seed of hope.
 The startled sound of windows,
 Always woke the night sleep,
 Adorned with thunder and night storms,
 Which gazed with cruel eyes, at me.
 While struggling in vague and confused thoughts,
 A light of hope smiles at me
 In its white and peaceful dress, well wisher and guide,
 I move near it and found the pebbles,
 Of peace and happiness with shining eyes,
 Nears it and held it tight.
 An aura of comfort which embarces me with divine spirit,
 And in its glow I am still alive with full energy,
 Ohh!!! My divine soul; You are my lover, hope and guide;
 And am safe in the glory of your hands.
