Elixir to my bones, serenity to my heart's core,
His presence was life to my annihilated soul.
I bleed crimson red in his infidelity,
His words, like shards, pierce the cockles of my heart.
I spent nights lacquering and painting my broken heart's seams with gold.
His vows are still my escape from his dishonesty,
His lies still sound like the sweetest medley.
I wrote an ode to this unrequited love, yearning for redamancy.
I bask under the magnanimity of his apathy.
He was both my torment and catharsis
His arms remain my hallowed walls of love.
I bore witness to my evanescent epic love
