The technological explosion engendered new media to fill a void.
The paradox, the beginning of the end.
The real life interactions, tête-à-tête sacrificed at the altar of virtual exchange.
The gestures and expressions like dead defeated warriors,
maintaining a stony calm.
The reticent monosyllables and emojis wearing bands of honour,
giving them online funeral.
Handwritten letters, greeting cards, the sweet treasures stirring our memories,
quelled by strong gale of texting abbreviations.
Let’s get off the phone, starve ourselves of gizmos,
Delve in the delight of authentic bonding conversations.
Turning pens into emotions, revisit the past,
To make old new.
