Our Sky of Love

These words mean nothing;
without a little pain,
like thunder-less lightning;
without a little rain..

Second chances?
I deserve none,
like the flowers in bloom;
without a little sun,

Emotional bucket overfilled?
so I pushed it away,
like swings in the garden
in the wind as they sway.

May peace fill your mornings
and may joy fill your nights,
may you soar high and mighty;
as I disappear from your sight.

Still my soul couldn't hold; these many thoughts of you
so I let you go free and bold,
I let you go,
in the vast endlessness above
and you'll still find me lurking,
in our sky of love.
