Open Your Heart Out, My Dear – Delhi Poetry Slam

Open Your Heart Out, My Dear

By Pranab Majumdar

After removing her cotton wear,
She covered herself with plenty of flowers
And bid farewell to every corner
By saying that her next location is a star.

Alas! I was absent on her departure.
So many of her wishes are left unattended,
Like an empty pitcher with sorrows blended.
My mindset shattered in vain
My love Anulekha was my life's membrane.

Why is it happening?
A lover losing his love before time.
God is neutral in reply, says:
"That is my choice."

Man is not autogenous,
But love is man’s self-created invoice.
God says in a louder voice:
"If you are a true lover,
Your love, covered with lotus flowers,
Will exist forever
With a title song
Open your heart out, my dear."
