One Fine Evening – Delhi Poetry Slam

One Fine Evening

By Susmin Eapen

One fine evening,
I strolled through the street
Nature at its best,
me hopping to meet.
Stared at the sky,
to gaze at the dusk
The setting sun made me in a lusk.
Suddenly, I descried a bird tornado
Escaping from the predators hurrying to their evening roosts.
The cozy streets were a feast to my eyes
Which paved the way for numerous creatures from dawn to dusk.
The flickering street lamps guided me through the street
As if they also had a tale to narrate.
The moonlight was slightly visible through the cloudy mist.
Now it's time for me to head back home
Looking forward for the next evening to come.
